We just got back from almost a week in Lake Almanor. Almanor is near Mt Lassen, a little north of Chico. Its a beautiful area, and many farmers, like Judy's father, have vacation homes there. Grandpa Wallace bought property there when his kids were young and they built a cabin right on the lake that sleeps his very large family very comfortably. Jeremy's cousin Jessica got married there this past Saturday. Her new husband's name is Ben. We snuck right in front of him to get the first Ben in the family ;)

Rob and Judy drove me and my kiddos up on Tuesday, since Jeremy had to work a bit more of the week. The kids did great, especially since the drive is about 5 hours long. Luckily we took a break at Grandpa Wallace's ranch for lunch which helped.

Jeremy built a huge sand castle with Mackenzie at the beach on the lake. He called it "Kings Landing". I think he might have had more fun building it than she did.

Jesse's wedding was outdoors right on the lake. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to! She and Ben did such an amazing job with the location, food and all the little details. Ben does marketing for the 49ers (they both work there, that's how they met) and you can tell he loves branding. The "Bejema" (combo of Ben, Jessica and Mayberry, his last name) brand was built into every detail.
