Cabo!

We just got back from an amazing week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!  Jeremy and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on Friday, 6/26, and then we flew down the following day for a week long trip. Luckily Papa and Didi had already been in Cabo for two weeks before we got there, and they were excited to see us and help us with our little toddler! They stayed another 4 nights and then flew home with our little Mackenzie, allowing us to be on our own for a few nights. We are so lucky! Thank you Papa and Didi!

M did pretty good on the flight down. She did not want to stay in her seat, or nap, and even Frozen didn't keep her still for long. She finally decided to pass out literally after we had landed. So Jer scooped her up and she slept another 20 minutes as we made our way through immigration.

Jer and I bought this timeshare before we were even engaged in 2008. It hadn't been built yet, and this was the first time we've seen it since we didn't want to make the trek from the east coast while we were living in NYC. Jer remembers me having a few too many free margaritas, and then convincing him it was too good a deal to pass up. Well, here we are a 7 years later and the Grand Solmar is beautiful. You're welcome honey :)

Beautiful Granite surrounds the resort

M really improved her swimming abilities on the trip. I personally love having her in a floatie, because it makes it so much easier and she can play on her own without me worrying, but J insisted she go without. She only wore it the first day and then it was off the rest of the trip. But she did so well, swimming back and forth between two of us and putting her head under water. She was so proud of herself, saying "I hold my big breath!" The pools at our resort were great, because there were what Jer called "Shamu Steps", basically big shallow landings that M could run and play on. Some of the kids even had a baseball game in the shallow end of the pool. People were so nice and let M play with their toys. We were the slacker parents who forgot to bring any.

A typical day of playing at the pool

I couldn't resist squirting her!

M "borrowed" another little girls princesses and played for a full hour, just rearranging them

Full moon for most of our week. Amazing!

Still a bit of construction going on though!

Jer and I had a great time after M left. Even though I was in a bad mood for a few hours since I missed her. On the one hand I love being kid free, and able to go out to dinner, and stay out late. But I always miss her so much!

Jeremy went for runs almost every morning, even with it being so hot. Of course he found a big hill and had to go up it.

This is what I did while Jer was running

After M left though, J convinced me to go up the hill with him to see the view. It was hot, but not so bad, and the view was incredible.

Shrimp and Margaritas almost every night!

Check out this GIANT plate of fish!

A nice caption to celebrate an anniversary, don't you think?
