What a whirlwind the past week has been. We went to Miami last Thursday for 5 nights. Jeremy had to be there for a presentation for work, so Mackenzie and I tagged along thinking it would be a good beach vacation. We rented a nice condo right on the beach. Having a baby with us would have made functioning in a hotel room too hard, especially since she goes to sleep at 7pm.
Here are some pictures of regular life before our trip:

On our way to Miami we noticed teeth! Two top ones coming in and two bottom ones barely cutting the surface. Most of M's baby friends had teeth before 10 months old, so we've been waiting for these for awhile. But 4 at one time is a lot! I was pleased that she hadn't been fussy in the days before the discovery, so I thought that teething would be easy for us….

About a day into our trip, M woke up in the middle of the night with a bad cough. A seal like barking cough. We thought she had croup, and comforted her and took her into a steamy bathroom to try to clear her up. She seemed fine the next day, we went out to a restaurant in south beach and she was all smiles, and didn't seem sick anymore.

After that though, the trip took a turn for the worse. We thought it was the teeth that were bothering her, but it was probably a combination of still being sick and teething at the same time. She was pretty fussy the entire rest of the trip. Lots of crying. The weather wasn't great either, very rainy, except for one clear blue day. So we stayed home mostly, except for a few outings with our baby carrier

She was happy for a bit when we took her to the park. Miami Beach has a lot of great public parks next to the beach that also include some workout equipment for adults.

We were home for two nights and then headed out to Boston for Thanksgiving. Jeremy's Aunt JoAnn and Uncle George live there, and their 3 kids were coming home as well. It was so nice to be with family for the holiday. Mackenzie was feeling much better by then, but she still had a lot of snot and drool to share with everyone.

Uncle George's niece stopped by as well with her family, including 4 year old Gwen. Mackenzie definitely took to Gwen, maybe she thought Gwen was a baby too. But she was so smiley around her.

Lastly, a few videos. I always mention the videos since they don't come through on the email. Click the title banner of this post to link to the real blog site, and you should be able to see videos there.
Hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving!
Kathy, she is saying Hi to you....
