Little M is starting to get much more mobile. Today she did an army crawl on our floor, sweeping up lots of dust bunnies in the process. She finally figured out how to scoot around on her belly on the hardwood.
She can also go from belly to sitting by herself, thanks to her extreme flexibility. Even the doctor said she's flexible for a baby.
How to sit up, according to Mackenzie:
1. Start on your tummy
2. Get on all fours
3. Sit back from the all fours position
4. Ta da!
Splits. She'll go from sitting and lean all the way forward and move her legs around to get from sitting back to her tummy
Mackenzie LOVES her Daddy and always is so happy when she sees him.

You've seen examples before of how Jer loves to "train" our baby. Well, his next self appointed challenge was to help her crawl. She can get to all fours, but then can't move forward or stay up for long, so he put a scarf around her tummy to try to help her. It wasn't a successful mission, but it was so funny to watch.

We also did a "cry it out" this weekend. Mackenzie knows how to sleep through the night, but sometimes I feed her in the middle of the night when she's sick or teething, and that turns into a habit we then have to break. One night of 40 minutes of crying usually gets her back on track. This time Jer comforted her. I can't really help because she just gets mad that I'm not feeding her when she sees me

We took the subway down to the village to have lunch at a pizza place and then do a long walk home. It turned out to be another gorgeous Saturday. Clear skies, and temps in the 60's! It was a treat after the past few weeks of cold weather.
