Weekend in Guerneville

M is almost 19 months! How time flies. We have been having a great summer. This baby keeps us very entertained. Lately there's a lot of singing going on, mostly made up songs with cute lyrics such as "Hello, dada!" on repeat. Sometimes we even get dancing too!

We went to Guerneville this past weekend with Jeremy's brother Scott and my soon to be sister in law Roz. We had a fantastic time. They were so good with Mackenzie and it was so nice to have plenty of adults to entertain her. M had a great time with Auntie Roz and Uncle Sock (the C in Scott must be hard for her!) and loved exploring our new surroundings.

Guerneville is not too far from Napa, and we were there when the 6.0 earthquake struck at 3am! Luckily it was over quickly and nothing was damaged or anything. Jeremy didn't even really wake up and told me it wasn't an earthquake when I asked him. Then he admitted he was half asleep and didn't know what he was talking about. Both men in the house slept through (Jer doesn't recall talking to me at all), and both women were wide awake. Typical? M didn't seem to notice either. Took me an hour to fall back asleep though. This was a good reminder to get those emergency kits ready in case the big one decides to hit! Yikes. Welcome back to California, right?

We were having some beers out on the lawn and had a few extra empty bottles lying around. After checking for any stray drops,  and keeping a close eye on her, M was allowed to play with them, and this is what she came up with. I guess this is what we must have looked like since she's such an imitator! I know this probably makes me look like a horrible parent, but it was just too funny not to share.

Cheers!
And we drink.
