Holiday Fun

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season! Feels like a long time ago now, but I'm not great at keeping these current - those two kids keep me busy!

What happens when they both want to go on the same swing

Jeremy spotted a cool pottery store on his commute to Santa Clara, so we went one weekend, expecting it to be a boring activity for the kids. Boy were we wrong! Tons of stuff for them to explore and play with, and they even had a bunch of wagons to use as shopping carts.

Hide and Seek!

My kids don't know how good they have it. We went to the Ranch for Thanksgiving, and it's such a cool place to explore. Grandpa Wallace has a HUGE hay barn and tons of farm equipment. You get there via golf cart, which Mackenzie got to drive for a bit. The Barn is home to some owls, who leave owl pellets in one corner. For those of you who don't remember science class, owl pellets are basically mouse bones encased in mouse fur. And are SUPER COOL if you're a kid. Or an adult. Jeremy has promised to make Mackenzie a necklace of mouse bones. So far it's been a few months and she recently brought this up. I think this may be a promise he has to keep. Yuck.

Jeremy's cousin Ryan turned 40 this December, and to celebrate we spent the weekend in Tahoe - Adults Only!! Thanks to my parents who had our kids for two whole nights while we got some time away.

Paci quitting time!
Mackenzie's school has a "kids night out" which is basically a babysitting service where you don't have to pick them up until 9:30. She loves it since it's a fun pajama movie party.

We spent a fun early Christmas at Lodi, the 3rd year in a row. Judy and Rob deck the place out and it's fun spending some quality time with our three families and the kids. Really gets everyone in the Christmas spirit I think! And this year we added a new fun tradition of matching pajamas!

Yesica and I took the kids to SF to see some of the christmas decorations. Thank goodness her sister Suzi came along, we needed another adult! Boy was it crazy and tiring but also so much fun. The kids loved BART!!

Ever seen such a happy BART rider? I haven't!

We spent Chrismas Eve at the ranch. Ben and Mackenzie loved riding on the golf cart again, as usual. Jeremy grilled a whole bunch of tri tip that turned out amazing. And one of the cousins brought a drone and took a cool family picture! The kids were so fascinated with it that everyone was looking at the camera.

From the 21st and on, this holiday season was pretty crazy full of parties and socializing. I love it. But it's tiring. Poor Ben didn't get a decent nap for about a week. We hosted a couple dinner parties which was fun to do in our new-ish house. We had about 20 people over for a Peters family reunion

We've spent a few weekends at Rock City in Mt Diablo State park, and the kids love it. So much fun climbing and exploring.
